Frequently Asked Questions

How do I connect Apple Health?

During onboarding, StrideQuest asks for permission to read your step count and walking distance from Apple Health. If you skipped this step, go to your device's Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → StrideQuest and enable access. The App only reads data — it never writes to Apple Health.

My steps aren't showing up

Make sure Apple Health permissions are enabled (see above). StrideQuest imports the last several days of step data when it launches. Try closing and reopening the App. If you use a third-party step tracker, make sure it syncs to Apple Health.

How do I enable or disable notifications?

You can configure walking reminders in Settings → Reminders within the App. To fully disable notifications, go to your device's Settings → Notifications → StrideQuest and turn off Allow Notifications.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, find StrideQuest, and tap Cancel Subscription. Your premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore my purchases?

Open StrideQuest, go to Settings → Subscription, and tap Restore Purchases. This syncs your subscription status with the App Store. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase.

Is my health data private?

Yes. Your health data is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded, sold, or shared. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What does StrideQuest Premium include?

Premium unlocks additional journeys beyond the free Moonlit Meadow journey, companion style customization, and expanded features. Available as a monthly or annual subscription.

I lost my progress after reinstalling

App progress is stored locally on your device. If you reinstall the App, some preferences may be restored via iCloud, but health-derived progress (daily goals, energy, journey state) is stored locally and may not be recoverable. We recommend keeping the App installed to preserve your data.
